We are going to create a personalized growth experience, rather than a camp factory. We’ve all heard the complaints from kids who go to over-crowded camps that try to hurry them through their day. Our camp will focus on the arts and sciences in a fun and active way. We want to encourage the campers to be explorers of the world!

Our camp will include Theater and Exploring Trips. We will also include elements of Music, Theater, Dance, Art, Gardening, Healthy Cooking and good old fashioned Play to teach Science and Math organically. We are limiting enrollment to 10 campers per week to ensure the richest possible summer experience.

$100 Deposit Per Week, Due May 1, 2013. Download application here.  Health records form here.
Heidi Flanagan
Heidi has been teaching children for more than 15 years. She has worked with all ages but specifically enjoys early childhood and elementary education.

Her summer camp experience includes Camp Vega For Girls on Echo lake in Maine. There she taught camping and survival skills.  She took the girls on overnight camping trips and taught them how to pitch a tent, fish, and cook over an open fire. She has also taught at Dance with Maine Summer Camp and Camp Broadway in NYC. She has worked nationally with Camp Bravo, an arts camp associated with the Bravo network, and with Starsystems dance workshops.

Heidi can be found at PS 10 After School Program and Brooklyn Dance Project and, of course, Brooklyn Kids.
CarlyAnn Oquendo
CarlyAnn is an accomplished Early Childhood Education instructor. She has been teaching for over 5 years specifically with theatrically gifted and special needs populations.

Her summer camp experience includes the Graylock Children's Project at the Williamstown Theater Festival, 'Capital E!' National Theatre for Children Education Program in Wellington New Zealand, the Children's Aid Society of Staten Island Summer Day Camp, and Brooklyn Dance Project Summer Camp.

In addition to Brooklyn Kids, CarlyAnn can be found at Brooklyn Dance Project and the Adaptive Arts Theater Company. She is looking forward to the upcoming summer with Brooklyn Kids Summer Camp!
